television show in the country. It is a whirlwind courtship show that ends
every episode at the altar where two people must decide, on live TV, whether
they will say the words that will change the rest of their lives.
One unlucky bride says, “I do,” only to be murdered by the groom on their
honeymoon. The distraught father of the bride holds Brooke and Becca
accountable. He manages to kidnap them and produce his own internet show based
on the format of their program. Brooke and Becca are run through the scenarios
they put their couples through. They must use these brief moments to prove
their innocence or be killed in the last episode.
My Review:
This was a such a fun book! It combined 2 of my favorite things…thrillers and reality tv. The story focuses on a reality show called I Do or I Don’t, which reminded me a lot of a mashup between “Married at First Sight” and “The Bachelor”. The story quickly takes a dark turn and pulls the reader along through many twists and turns.
Reading this book made me think back fondly to my years of watching reality tv when it was still in it’s infancy…the silly shows like “Temptation Island”, “Average Joe”, and “Joe Millionaire” (those were the days!)
Overall, this was a super fun book that had lots of surprises. Highly recommended!
